The first of the Welcome to Suburbia series. (A2, 2004)

Represents all that is typically Australian...just read the other prints I have...same thing but with the houses.

I've got a few different ones to put up.

See you soon.

Wonderful woodcut? Linocut? I think this is the strongest suburban/architectural one, colorwise. They're strong and you can easily read what's happening.

Thanks. It's a linocut. This is actually my favourite piece as well as there's more definition in line weight and of course subject matter. A better representation of the classic Queenslander (the name of the style of houses) community.
I hope to do more like this soon. Have a few smaller designs ready for carving. Now just a matter of finding time.

Time is the kicker, no mistaking.

I know. It's quite annoying as you need to be in the 'zone' of sorts to carve. Not quite something you can do during a lunch break or breakfast.

Again another beautiful piece. I love how the colors seem almost painterly. You make me want to get out some linoleum and go right at it!

One should seek to find ones self in his or her art rather than find what others deem as good or bad art.
